Situated on Old Main Road, only a few kilometres from the half-way point of the Comrades Marathon, Eagle Wind Manor is an ideal place to stay for that event. It is convenient for getting to the start and back from the finish, as well as being a great position for family members to stay in safety and watch the race as the runners come by.
The House is 200 metres from the gates of Kearsney College and is thus an ideal place to stay if attending events at the school.
Directions
From King Shaka Airport:
After landing on your flight to Durban, take the N2 southbound towards Durban. Take the N3 toll road to Pietermaritzburg. See further directions immediately below, under “From the N3, travelling inland from Durban”.
From the N3, travelling inland from Durban:
Take the Hillcrest/Shongweni/Assagay offramp (Exit 32). Turn right over the freeway into Kassier Road. Proceed until you get to the T-junction with traffic lights, at Old Main Road. Turn left and go up Botha’s Hill. At the crest of Botha’s Hill, tavel a few hundred metres until you arrive at Eagle Wind Manor on the left hand side, clearly marked as number 15.
From the M13, travelling inland from Pinetown:
Take the Hillcrest offramp and turn right onto Old Main Road. Travel through the centre of Hillcrest, until you reach the other side, where you will go downhill towards some traffic lights. Travel straight on, and up Botha’s Hill. At the crest of Botha’s Hill, tavel a few hundred metres until you arrive at Eagle Wind Manor on the left hand side, clearly marked as number 15.
From the N3, travelling towards the coast from Pietermaritzburg:

From the N3, take the Hillcrest glide (Alternative Durban route) onto the M13. Very soon after, take the Shongweni/Assagay offramp. At the T-junction at the bottom of the offramp, turn left into Kassier Road. Proceed until you get to the T-junction with traffic lights, at Old Main Road. Turn left and go up Botha’s Hill. At the crest of Botha’s Hill, tavel a few hundred metres until you arrive at Eagle Wind Manor on the left hand side, clearly marked as number 15.
